In 2009, I enlisted Kate to help perfect my technique for teaching kettlebells. As an instructor myself, I can saw she knows her stuff! Every move is detailed, informed and focused because of Kate's expertise. Now, after achieving the HKC, combined with Kate's instruction, I am confident I am teaching the basic Kettlebell movements correctly. Kate is tough and sweet and sincere. Can't ask for much more from your trainer!

As a former military and current law enforcement professional I have been exposed to some of the finest and most professional trainers and instructors. Kate Lavanga is definitely one of the best I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Kate is one of the rare instructors who is able to appropriately tailor their instruction to the level of the trainee and not just "impart their will" on their victim. Kate is able push her trainees to get the maximum results from their efforts. I would reccomend Kate Lavanga for all levels of KB instruction!

Kate is a very patient and knowledgeable instructor who has a true passion for Kettlebells. The class is well-scaled for both beginner and more advanced students and Kate spends the time to focus on each individual to give instruction on their form and technique. Her classes are fun and provide a great workout -- the hour seems to fly by... Chris - Alexandria, VA
Kate is the go to instructor to discover and heal bad movement patterns, motor neuron distortion, and body cheats! In other words - she will help you figure out how to move and then take you to the next level of health, wellness and strength. As an RKC myself, I send my rehab clients to Kate for her evaluations prior to developing their programs. And when it comes to my own training questions, Kate is always my fist call.

I contacted Kate because I had been training in pain for two years and wanted help from someone with FMS experience. Based upon my FMS test scores, Kate gave me a list of exercises that I needed to eliminate from my workouts. Kate then devised a training plan for me which was comprised of corrective exercises to address my weaknesses. She also gave me written descriptions of the exercises and was available to answer questions. Kate is an excellent instructor who clearly explains and demonstrates how to perform exercises. She definitely enjoys working with clients and she makes training fun even though she expects me to work hard. She provides positive feedback when I am doing well and always reminds me to make each repetition count.Kate always demands good technique and will not hesitate to stop a training session to correct issues. She first explains what I am doing incorrectly and then if I give her a blank stare, she demonstrates how I am doing it incorrectly. Usually when I can see what is wrong, then it is easier for me to fix it.Kate was the first trainer that told me that there were treatments available that could potentially increase the range of motion of my bad knee. After 4 treatments, my range of motion was increased by at least 5 degrees (enough so that I can now walk down stairs without any pain).Since I started working with Kate, my FMS score has gone from 12 to 16, my shoulders and knees no longer ache after my workouts, and my quads are starting to feel strong again.

Kate has been supportive, energetic, and provided me with comprehensive training. Not only does she address training, she really focuses on the client's complete needs, including diet information. She is super convenient, especially since she comes to your house and it is amazing what you can get done with very little equipment. She is encouraging when I don't have it in me and she follows up with email/phone support, so I never wonder what I should be doing outside of our meetings. We have been working with kettlebells and she has a huge focus on form, safety, and results. I would highly recommend Kate as a personal trainer and specifically as an RKC instructor.

After 10 years of Personal Training, I began working with Kate about 10 months ago and I feel I’ve made real progress. Recently, I was able to do my first push-up...not bad for 67 years! Kate pushes to to perform at my best and encourages me a lot and is an ideal trainer for older clients.-Vicky
I appreciate every second Kate puts into planning my personal training session. Kate knows what she wants out of me before she even arrives. Kate knows how far to push me while she is with me and, she adjusts accordingly throughout the workout. With Kate's direction I work out harder than I would if I were alone or in a group because everything is personalized according to my ability and what Kate thinks I can reasonably accomplish. Our workouts are challenging, fun, and with enough repetition and variety to make me feel as if I understand where we are going ... and to keep guessing what is coming next! The session flies by.
